Where will we train?
Training takes place in the leisure centre gymnasium on Sundays and Wednesdays which
is the building just opposite the main entrance. Changing facilities are available.
Can I just turn up?
Yes. But if you call me first I can look out for you on the day and
arrange to meet before the lesson to explain the format of the
session and introduce you to others.
What should I wear?
Put on some loose fitting clothes such as tracksuit bottoms and a baggy
T-Shirt. Training is performed bare-foot so no need to polish the
Nike's.
How difficult is it going to be? I'm pretty unfit.....
Good news, there is a beginners class. Not only will we be starting
gently but with smaller numbers you will get more one-to-one coaching. You
will not be pushed beyond your ability. If you have any medical
conditions you must make me aware of them before we start so that I can
accomodate it.
What is a typical lesson like?
Each lesson will focus on different aspects of Tae Kwon-Do but will
start each time with some warm up exercises. The exercises will be
varied and will provide you with new techniques to help maintain
your fitness and flexibility at home as well as in class. Following the
warm up we will move onto learning basic, but very effective,
techniques putting them into practise through patterns and
sparring.
